Student collects books at Weld

JESSICA FLEMING - flemingjes@mnstate.edu

One MSUM student is spreading her love of books to a Moorhead school.

“I think it’s important for students to have access to reading materials, said Kaitlyn Stewart, an English education junior.

This week and next, Stewart is independently collecting books at two Weld drop boxes for the Red River Area Learning Center’s library.

The learning center is an alternative K-12 school in Moorhead for students looking to further their education.

“I think this book drive is a great opportunity for college students from MSUM to do something nice for younger students in the area,” Stewart said.

Collecting coins is an interesting, truly educational and profitable hobby. Collecting may at times, provide a special comfort to the individual collector, as they are able to gather a collection of familiar objects, as well as build a repository of valuable assets. We are all aware of the compelling allure of money, and coins do represent real value. For some, coins may not pose any value, for others however, the sheen and weight of silver and gold coins does prove to be an irresistible magnet. Prospective collectors can sharpen their craft, and learn about newer methods towards spotting rare and valuable coins, by getting as much information from a number of coin collecting books that are available in stores and online shops.
